Northallerton Silver Band can be found in our purpose built Bandroom on Romanby Road in Northallerton.  We also have our own private car park next to our Bandroom. Our Post Code, for those with a Sat-Nav, is DL7 8NG. Please see Map for other details on how to get to us. Our rehearsals take place on Mondays & Thursdays between 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. 

About the Band: Northallerton Silver Band can trace it's roots back to 1793 although back then it would not have looked or sounded anything like the popular band that we see today. It could possibly be one of the oldest surviving Brass Bands in the country. We are a non-contesting Brass Band that enjoy full and varied concert seasons throughout the year. We are noted for giving some great family concerts such as those at the open air Bandstand at Saltburn. The band also enjoy playing at other venues throughout the North Yorkshire area. Places such as Masham, Darlington, Richmond, Kildale and York plus our second home, the fantastic Hambleton Forum here in Northallerton. Our Concerts Page is regularly updated so keep checking back to see if we have a booking near to you. A Northallerton Forum Concert

Although we have just about a full band we are always on the lookout for more happy players. It doesn't matter to us if you have only been playing a year or two and age isn't a problem to us either. Northallerton Silver Band would love to hear from you if you would like to play a brass instrument. We have a few spare instruments should you not have your own and we can help you to enjoy playing music as it should be enjoyed. We are a band that do not go around pretending to be the best but you will find it hard to meet a band in the area that is as happy as we are. We entertain the whole family at our concerts from the toddler to Grandparents. We are a caring, happy friendly bunch of part time musicians who enjoy getting together twice a week.
